cancer wellness and recovery

Reclaim Body Autonomy. Rebuild Intelligent Strength.

Evidence-Based Exercise Physiology & Somatic Movement for Cancer Recovery.

in 2012, I lost my aunt, Sister Helene Lentz, to ovarian cancer. That same year, I committed my practice to supporting individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment, becoming an ACSM-Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer while overseeing my organization’s LiveSTRONG group fitness programs.

In 2020, I founded The Aunt Sister Project in her memory. Through this initiative, I developed a specialized 16-week “re-entry” program designed to bridge the gap between active medical treatment and long-term movement independence. Today, I bring that same evidence-based, compassionate care directly to you through interactive online classes, virtual group fitness, and personalized 1:1 training and coaching.

I created these programs because I have witnessed first-hand how isolating recovery can be, especially when it comes to exercise. Cancer treatment may leave you feeling disconnected from the mainstream world of wellness, fighting chronic fatigue or guarding against pain. Standard fitness templates often enforce rigid, high-intensity rules that don’t apply to a body experiencing cancer and its related treatments.

My programs focus on restorative, research-backed modalities that prioritize breathwork, mobility, and progressive functional strength. Recognizing that your wellness needs one day may be drastically different from the next, I provide you with practices that help to regulate the nervous system, manage treatment-related side effects, and rebuild body trust on your own terms.

PROGRAM PATHWAYS

16-week Re-entry program

The Aunt Sister Blueprint.

This evidence-based container bridges the gap between clinical discharge and long-term physical autonomy. I guide you step-by-step through restorative breathwork, joint mobility, and progressive loading—giving you a clear, adaptable roadmap to reclaim physical agency without fear or exhaustion.

Personalized coaching

A program tailored specifically to your treatment or recovery phase. I combine exercise physiology—managing fatigue, protecting bone health, and mitigating lymphedema risk—with somatic movement. Together, we release protective physical bracing, regulate the nervous system, and rebuild functional strength at the pace that works for you.

online group classes

Accessible, community-centered group exercise designed for all stages of diagnosis and survivorship. These sessions prioritize restorative mobility, gentle energy resets, and fluid functional movements that help regulate stress, relieve fatigue, and foster collective body trust from the comfort of your own home. Workouts are modified for all fitness levels.
